Este año Terraplén esta nominado a los Premio Gardel en la categoría mejor álbum de Floclore Alternativo

El multipremiado músico y productor Gustavo Santaolalla diseñó el proyecto TERRAPLEN: una cruza entre el folclore argentino y las nuevas tendencias de la música electrónica.
Para ello convocó a tres prestigiosos músicos y productores de la escena artística argentina: Daniel Martín, Diego Vainer y Gaby Kerpel. El resultado de este proceso de composición e investigación es el material discográfico que se editó a través del sello Surco/Universal y que aborda con carácter vanguardista ritmos argentinos como bagualas, zambas, carnavalitos, milongas, chacareras y vidalas, equilibrando los instrumentos tradicionales del folclore junto a instrumentos electrónicos, para nutrir de un nuevo sonido a la música autóctona argentina.
